Brothers and Sisters, I want to share with you the importance of our taking time in our weeks to go out and share the Love of Jesus with men. There are three ingredients involved in bringing a person to Christ:

• The Word of God

• The Holy Spirit

• And the will of the individual

The author of Hebrews writes:

"For the word of God is spiritually-alive and energetically- affective and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the conscious-reasonings and intentions of the heart." (Heb 4:12)

The Bible is more than just words on a page, it is God’s Word containing spiritual life and has effective power to release faith and bring change in a person’s life. Paul wrote in Romans 10:17:

"Faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ." (Rom 10:17)

Men, however, cannot release faith in the Gospel until they hear the Gospel. That is where you and I come in, in the process of salvation: Our sharing with men and women the love of Jesus Christ — The Word of God.

Paul wrote in Ephesians 6:17, "And take. . . the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God." The Bible teaches us that the Word of God is the Sword of the Holy Spirit. When we share the word of God with men, this then releases the Holy Spirit to quicken to them that what we have said is true and that they need Jesus to be saved.

However, the Holy Spirit cannot even begin to do His job until we do our job, which is to go out and share the word of God with men. God said through Isaiah concerning His Word:

"So shall My Word be which goes forth from my mouth; it shall not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it." (Isaiah 55:11)

However God’s Word cannot accomplish its purpose until it is sent. We need to weekly go out and share the love of Jesus with men.

*The Third Thing Involved in Evangelism Is the Will of the Individual

Let me share with you an example in my own sharing of the Gospel with men:. . .

Jesus said in Matthew 28:18-20

"All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. GO THERE- FORE and make disciples of all the nations.’" (Matthew 28:18-20)

In this passage Jesus tells us:

• All Authority in Heaven and on Earth Are given to Him; therefore, we are not to wait but to GO THEREFORE! We are to GO NOW! and share the love of Jesus Christ with Men.

• He promises that if we do go that He will be with us and will lead and guide us in what we are to say and do.

Jesus Said In Another Passage: "Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to You, lift up your eyes, and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest." (John 4:35)

In this passage Jesus is telling us that we do not need to wait until we see fruit on the trees, but that THE TIME IS ALWAYS RIPE FOR EVANGELISM. This is because before there can be a harvest we first need to plant the seed, water, fertilize and weed the ground. If we don’t go out weekly and do the work of Evangelism, there won’t be a harvest when the reapers come. Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes 11:4, He who watches the wind will not sow and he who looks at the clouds will not reap. This is why THE TIME FOR EVANGELISM IS ALWAYS NOW!

The Apostle Paul wrote: "And working together with Him, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain—for He says, ‘At the acceptable time I listened to you, and on the day of salvation I helped you’; BEHOLD, now is ‘the acceptable time,’ BEHOLD, now is ‘The day of salvation’." (2 Cor 6:1-2)

Jesus tells us in this passage that the acceptable time to share the Gospel and believe on the Gospel is NOW! For this reason, we need to take time in our weeks and go out and share the Love of Jesus Christ with men.

• First, he wants you to PRAY and commit your free time to Him to share the love of Jesus Christ with Men.

• Second, if you have not already done so, you need to go through a TRAINING PROGRAM IN EVANGELISM and learn how to lovingly present the Gospel to Men.

• Third, Once you are trained, you need to MAKE A COVENANT WITH JESUS to spend a certain amount of your time in a week to go out and share the love of Jesus Christ with men.

Lord Jesus Christ, I believe that Heaven is more real and permanent than this earth. For this reason I commit my life to invest in Your Kingdom by using my free time to share the love of Jesus Christ with men and for study and training to that end. I do this by faith and trust You to lead me to what I need to know and do in Jesus Christ of Nazareth’s name, amen.

James 5:19-20 "My brethren, if any among you strays from the truth, and one turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death, and will cover a multitude of sins."

Ephesians 4:11-12 "And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ"

Matthew 28:18-20 "And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. GO THEREFORE and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’"
