1. First, we believe that the BIBLE, God’s Word, is the absolute first primary foundation on which the Church is built.

2. Second, we believe that EVANGELISM is the first primary responsibility and calling of the Church because Jesus came to seek and to save the lost and to do this by drawing men to Himself. His will and call for the Church is to do the same. (Chapter 2)

3. Our third foundational belief is that church government must provide for LOVING JUSTICE & RECONCILIATION between members and leadership because Jesus said, without justice and love among his people they would have no witness and the world would not turn to Him. (Chapter 3)

1. First, we believe that the BIBLE, God’s Word, is the absolute first primary foundation on which the Church is built.

We believe that the BIBLE is the absolute Inspired Word of God (1 Tim 3:16, Heb 4:12, 2 Pet 1:20-21) down to the letter in the original Hebrew and Greek (Matt 5:17-19) and that it is absolutely true truth in all that it affirms in the history of man and the cosmos (Genesis 1-3), in all that it teaches theologically concerning man and God (Gen 1-3, Matt 1, Luke 1-2, Heb 4:12), in all that it teaches and affirms historically, and in all that it teaches scientifically. We do not believe that what the bible teaches is exhaustive truth, but that what it does teach is absolutely true truth. Therefore there is truth outside of Scripture and thus the necessity and importance of liberal Education, but never in contradiction to the Bible. The Bible is the final measuring stick for determining true truth objectively, scientifically and subjectively. This includes the truth of origins. We believe that this is why the Scriptures were given to us by God, to give us the ability to discern truth from error.

We believe that the heavens and the earth were created in six literal twenty-four hour days because Yehovah Elohim said that was the way He did it, "And there-was evening and there-was morning, day one." (Gen 1:5). We believe therefore that the conclusions of uniformitarian science, evolution, are false and in error, not only because of what the Bible teaches, but in light of the evidence of true science as well. I document and demonstrate clearly the absolute reliability of the Judeo-Christian Bible historically, cosmologically, scientifically, prophetically, theologically, in original manuscript reliability, in salvation theology and in educational methods of establishing what is true.

John quoted Jesus as saying to the Jews in John 5:39- 40,

"You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal spiritual-life; and it is these that bear witness of Me; and you are unwilling to come to Me, that you may have spiritual-life."

Jesus is God.^{443/Chapter 4} Because He is God he cannot lie (Titus 1:2, Heb 6:18). Because he cannot lie, what He says is absolute true truth. In this passage, Jesus first affirms that Moses is indeed the author of the first five books of the Bible: the Torah. Second, Jesus put the writings of Moses and the Old Testament at the same level as His spoken words. Jesus saw the Bible as absolutely true truth in all that it affirms. Jesus said to the Jews that if they did not believe what Moses wrote in the Old Testament that they would not believe His words either. If Adam and Eve were not the first man and woman created by God in his image on earth who really sinned and fell out of relationship with God, then Jesus’ coming and death and Resurrection have no meaning and their value to us as man in restoring us to relationship with God are under suspect. Take away the first three Chapters of Genesis and the case of Christianity falls to the ground.

God gave us the Bible through the hands of men in historical setting for confirmation and verification of its validity. He gave it to us because we could never discover the truth about ourselves and the universe unless He revealed it to us. This is because we are finite and limited. Finite man can never discover for himself the truth about origins because he cannot witness it. God gave it to us because He really is and because He really did create us and the universe. How do we know? Because He brought Jesus Christ of Nazareth, His ONLY Son back from the dead to prove to us that what Jesus taught was true truth.

God still speaks to us today, but He has given us the written record of the Bible to give us the ability to discern what is truly His voice and messenger. This is what Jesus was saying to the Jews in John 5:39-40. He was telling them that if they were really putting their trust in what Moses wrote and were really reading it, they would know that Jesus was who He claimed to be and that He was the Messiah, the Christ from God, Yehovah-Elohim, there creator, in the flesh.

We ask, How can we know that the Bible is reliable historically, cosmologically, scientifically and theologically? We know it is true because Jesus is true. We know that Jesus is true because He proved to us He was true, that He was God the Son and that the Bible as He claimed is absolute true truth because he came back from the dead to confirm to us that His testimony was reliable.

"The Jews therefore answered and said to Him, ‘What sign do You show to us, seeing that You do these things?’" (John 2:18)

They were asking Jesus, "How do we know you are who you claim to be? What is your proof to us that you really did come from God, that you are the Messiah, that your words are true?" Jesus responded back to them,

"‘Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up’. . . . But He was speaking of the temple of His body. When therefore He was raised from the dead, His disciples remembered that He said this; and they believed the SCRIPTURE, and the WORD which Jesus had spoken." (John 2:18-22).

After Jesus’ Resurrection His Apostles and disciples believed that the Bible, Jesus’ words and who Jesus claimed to be were absolute true truth. This is our absolute proof that the Bible is absolutely true truth and reliable for us today: The Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The point of all that has been said is this, it is nice that we have scientific and historical confirmation of the reliability of Scripture, and we should since it is God’s inspired book, but the undeniable evidence of Jesus’ Resurrection with over 512 witnesses (1 Cor 15) to the fact is our proof that Jesus was who He claimed to be and that His Word written down in the Bible is absolutely true truth in all that it affirms Scientifically, Historically, Cosmologically and Theologically, and that you and I are to base our lives and actions on its teachings. Nothing else is necessary. Nothing else is necessary because Jesus came back from the dead to prove to us that we could rely on the Bible and all it teaches one-hundred percent.

It is unfortunate that so called men of God have spent their entire lives trying to find fault with the Bible and written volume after volume to that end, but the Bible unlike all other books is to be received by faith as a result of the absolute proof of the historical Resurrection of Jesus Christ. The fact that the Bible is true Historically and Scientifically is because God made sure it was because it is His book. Christian Education was not originally established to prove or disprove the Historical and Scientific reliability of the Bible; infact the opposite is true. The Bible was meant to be the basis and Foundation for our Education. "The fear of Yehovah is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding," (Prov 9:10).

What do we mean? We mean that when scientists and historians dig up data and come up with theories of history and science, these theories and historical data are to be compared with the light of Scripture to give us evidence that these theories and historical conclusions are true, not the other way around. The BIBLE is to be the foundation for proof of the reliability of the data of our Education, not Education the foundation for proof of the Bible. The Bible was meant to be the basis for our unity of knowledge in all the fields of study: Theology, Science, Sociology, Music, Art, Psychology, History and Government. What we have instead today is disciplines of Education splintering off in every direction independently with no possible means of unification because we have done away with the unifying factor, the Bible, as the basis for determining that our data is true. The end result is not only chaos in our Educational institutions, but in Government and society as well. All the moral down fall in our society is directly related to our rejection of the Bible as the absolute word of God in all that it affirms.

This is also the reason why the Church is no longer a restraining force in our society. The Church has been seduced by so called Higher Critical methods of approaching Scripture. Higher Critical Methods seek to separate what they call errors in the bible from fact in the Bible. The end result is that the traditional Church is now comparing the Bible with so called historical and scientific data and on this basis deciding whether we should listen to the teachings of the Bible or not. Isaiah wrote and Jesus wrote,

"To the Law and to the Testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because they have no dawn." (Isaiah 8:20).

"He who is of God hears the Words of God." (John 8:47).

There are no errors in the Bible in the original communication of the Hebrew and Greek Text and the science of Textual Criticism has proven that the text of the Bible we have today is as reliable as the original manuscripts. Jesus plainly said that those who do not accept the Bible as the absolute word of God in all that it affirms Theologically, Historically, Cosmologically, Sociologically and Governmentally are not of Him. For this reason we believe and have the Bible as the absolute basis for all that we do and the absolute basis for all that we teach and preach. We are committed to doing nothing nor making any decision unless it is in full agreement with what the Bible teaches. The Bible, God’s Word, not Jesus, is the absolute first primary foundation on which the Laymans Evangelist Church is built. It is not Jesus first because we are not saved when we believe in and receive Jesus as Savior and Lord, we are saved when we believe in and receive the Jesus taught in the Bible as Savior and Lord. Any other Jesus taught outside the Bible’s description of Jesus is not the Jesus of the Bible and cannot save anyone (2 Cor 11:4, 13-15). Only the Jesus taught in the Bible can save us; thus why the Bible is our first primary foundation on which our Church is built.

Jesus said in Matthew 24:35 "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words shall not pass away". The Bible given to us by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit is eternal truth. Because it is the above stated position concerning God’s Word handed down to us in the Bible will never become old fashion or change.
