*Ramadhan
Surah 2:185. "Ramadhan
is the (month) in which was sent down the Qur'an, as a guide to mankind,
also clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment (Between right and wrong). So
every one of you who is present (at his home) during that month should spend
it in fasting, but if any one is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed period
(Should be made up) by days later. Allah intends every facility for you; He
does not want to put to difficulties. (He wants you) to complete the
prescribed period, and to glorify Him in that He has guided you; and
perchance ye shall be grateful." |
Special Days & Months
Romans 10:4 "For
Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes."
Colossians 2:16-23
"Therefore let no one act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in
respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day—Things which are a mere
shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ. Let no one
keep defrauding you of your prize by delighting in self-abasement and the
worship of the angels, taking his stand on visions he has seen, inflated
without cause by his fleshly mind, and not holding fast to the head, from
whom the entire body, being supplied and held together by the joints and
ligaments, grows with a growth which is from God. If you have died with
Christ to the elementary principles of the world, why, as if you were living
in the world, do you submit yourself to decrees, such as, ‘Do not handle, do
not taste, do not touch!’ (which all refer to things destined to perish with
the using)—in accordance with the commandments and teachings of men? These
are matters which have, to be sure, the appearance of wisdom in self-made
religion and self-abasement and severe treatment of the body, but are of no
value against fleshly indulgence.
Ephesians 2:8-16
"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves,
it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ-Jesus for good works, which
God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Therefore remember,
that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called "Uncircumcision"
by the so-called "Circumcision," which is performed in the flesh by human
hands—remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded
from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise,
having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ-Jesus you who
formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He
Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one, and broke down the
barrier of the dividing wall, by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which
is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, that in Himself He might
make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, and might reconcile
them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death
the enmity."
