Hebrew & Greek Leviticus 19:2 “You shall be holy, for I Yehovah-your-Elohim am holy.” Hebrews 12:14 “Pursue peace with all men, and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.” Romans 13:14 “But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts.” 2 Corinthians 6:17-18 “Therefore, come out from their midst and be separated," says Adonai. "And do not touch what is unclean," and I will welcome you. And I will be a Father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to Me," says Adonai-Almighty.” 1 Peter 1:14-16 “As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written, ‘You shall be holy, for I am holy.’” Proverbs 6:32 “The one who commits adultery with a woman is lacking heart; he who would destroy his soul does it.” Matthew 5:27-28 “You have heard that it was said ‘You shall not commit adultery’; but I say to you, that everyone who looks on a woman to lust for her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.” 1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee fornication. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the man fornicating sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy-Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit which are of God.” Philippians 4:8-9 “Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, let your mind, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things; and the God of peace shall be with you.” 1 Thessalonians 4:3-8 “For this is the will of God, your sanctification; that is, that you abstain from fornication, that each of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in lustful passion, like the Gentiles who do not know God; and that no man transgress and defraud his brother in the matter because the Lord is the avenger in all these things, just as we also told you before and solemnly warned you. For God has not called us for the purpose of impurity, but in sanctification. Consequently, he who rejects this is not rejecting man but the God who gives His Holy-Spirit to you.” Hebrews 12:15-17 “See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled; that there be no fornicator or godless person like Esau, who sold his own birthright for a single meal. For you know that even afterwards, when he desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought for it with tears.” 1 Peter 2:11 “Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts, which wage war against the soul.” *
