They even sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons, and shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; and the land was polluted with the blood. Thus they became unclean in their practices, and played the harlot in their deeds.” Isaiah 2:8 “Their land has also been filled with idols; they worship the work of their-hands, That which their-fingers have made.” (Isaiah 2:8) Isaiah 44:16-19 “Half of it he burns in the fire; over this half he eats meat as he roasts a roast, and is satisfied. He also warms himself and says, ‘Aha! I am warm, I have seen the fire.’ But the rest of it he makes into a god, his graven image. He falls down before it and worships; he also prays to it and says, ‘Deliver me, for you are my God.’ They do not know, nor do they understand, for He has smeared over their-eyes so that they cannot see and their-hearts so that they cannot comprehend. And no one recalls, nor is there knowledge or understanding to say, ‘I have burned half of it in the fire, and also have baked bread over its coals. I roast meat and eat it. Then I make the rest of it into an abomination, I fall down before a block of wood!’” (Isaiah 44:16-19) Isaiah Chapter 45 Habakkuk 2:18-19 “What profit is the idol when its maker has carved it, or an image, a teacher of falsehood? For its maker trusts in his own handiwork When he fashions speechless idols. Woe to him who says to a piece of wood, ‘Awake!’ To a dumb stone, ‘Arise!’ and that is your teacher? Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all inside it.” (Habakkuk 2:18-19) Acts 17:29 "Being then the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and thought of man." 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 “Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, Nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:14 "Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry." Galatians 5:19-21 “Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, lewdness, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, heresies, envying, murders, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you just as I have forewarned you that those who practice such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” Colossians 3:5-6 “Therefore put to death your members that are on earth to fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil lust, and covetousness which is idolatry. For it is on account of these things that the wrath of God will come.” Ephesians 5:5-6 “For this you know with certainty, that no fornicator or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.” (Ephesians 5:5-6) Deuteronomy 7:25-26 “The graven images of their els you are to burn with fire; you shall not covet the silver or the gold that is on them, nor take it for yourselves, lest you be snared by it, for it is an abomination to Yehovah-your-Elohim. And you shall not bring an abomination into your house, and like it come under the ban; you shall utterly detest it and you shall utterly abhor it, for it is something banned.” (Deuteronomy 7:25-26) Isaiah Chapter 45 Ezekiel 14:7-8 “For anyone of the house of Israel or of the immigrants who stay in Israel who separates himself from Me, sets up his idols in his-heart, puts right before his-face the stumbling block of his iniquity, and then comes to the prophet to inquire of Me for himself, I Yehovah will be brought to answer him in My own person. And I shall set My-face against that man and make him a sign and a proverb, and I shall cut him off from among My people. So you will know that I am Yehovah.” Jeremiah 10:14-16 “Every man is stupid, devoid of knowledge; every goldsmith is put to shame by his idols; for his molten images are deceitful, and there is no breath in them. They are worthless, a work of mockery; in the time of their punishment they will perish. The portion of Jacob is not like these; for the Maker of all is He, and Israel is the tribe of His inheritance; Yehovah of hosts is His name.” Jeremiah 51:17-18 “All mankind is stupid, devoid of knowledge; every goldsmith is put to shame by his idols, for his molten images are deceitful, and there is no breath in them.
