Judgment in the *The Spiritual Condition of America Today
2:8 “The priests did not say, ‘Where is Yehovah?’ And those who handle the
law did not know Me; the rulers also transgressed against Me, and the prophets
prophesied by Baal and walked after things that did not profit. *What Americas Sins Will Lead To 2:19 “Your own wickedness will correct you, and your apostasies will reprove you; know therefore and see that it is evil and bitter for you to forsake Yehovah-your-Elohim, and the dread of Me is not in you,” declares Adonai-Yehovah-of-hosts. 2:20 “For long ago I broke your yoke and tore off your bonds; But you said, ‘I will not serve!’ For on every high hill and under every green tree you have lain down as a harlot. 2:21 “Yet I planted you a choice vine, a completely faithful seed. How then have you turned yourself before Me into the degenerate shoots of a foreign vine? 2:22 “Although you wash yourself with lye and use much soap, the stain of your iniquity is before Me,” declares Adonai-Yehovah. 2:23 “How can you say, ‘I am not defiled, I have not gone after the Baals’? Look at your way in the valley! Know what you have done! You are a swift young camel entangling her ways, 2:24 A wild donkey accustomed to the wilderness, that sniffs the wind in her passion. In the time of her heat who can turn her away? All who seek her will not become weary; in her month they will find her. 2:25 “Keep your-foot from being unshod and your-throat from thirst; but you said, ‘It is hopeless! No! For I have loved strangers, and after them I will walk.’ *The Sinfulness of America’s Sin 2:32 “Can a virgin forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? Yet My people have forgotten Me days without number. 2:33 “How well you prepare your way to seek love! Therefore even the wicked women you have taught your ways. 2:34 “Also on your skirts is found the blood of the innocent poor; you did not find them breaking in. But in spite of all these things, 2:35 yet you said, ‘I am innocent; surely His anger is turned away from me.’ Behold, I will enter into judgment with you because you say, ‘I have not sinned.’ *What Is Ahead For America Because of Our Sin 4:7 “A lion has gone up from his thicket, and a destroyer of nations has set out; he has gone out from his place to make your land a waste. Your cities will be ruins without inhabitant. 4:8 “For this, put on sackcloth, lament and wail; for the fierce anger of Yehovah has not turned back from us.” 4:9 “And it shall come about in that day,” declares Yehovah, “that the heart of the king and the heart of the princes will fail; and the priests will be appalled, and the prophets will be astounded.” 9:12 (9:13) Who is the wise man that may understand this? And who is he to whom the mouth of Yehovah has spoken, that he may declare it? Why is the land ruined, laid waste like a desert, so that no one passes through? 9:13 (9:14) And Yehovah said, “Because they have forsaken My law which I set before them, and have not obeyed My voice nor walked according to it, 9:14 (9:15) but have walked after the stubbornness of their heart and after the Baals, as their fathers taught them,” 9:15 (9:16) therefore thus says Yehovah of hosts, the Elohim of Israel, “behold, I will feed them, this people, with wormwood and give them poisoned water to drink. 9:16 (9:17) “And I will scatter them among the nations, whom neither they nor their fathers have known; and I will send the sword after them until I have annihilated them.” *Salvation For America Is Yet Possible 4:14 Wash your-heart from evil, O Jerusalem, that you may be saved. How long will your wicked thoughts lodge within you? *What Will Bring Invading Armies Into America 4:16 “Report it to the nations, now! Proclaim over Jerusalem, ‘Besiegers come from a far country, and lift their voices against the cities of Judah. 4:17 ‘Like watchmen of a field they are against her round about, because she has rebelled against Me,’ declares Yehovah. 4:18 “Your ways and your deeds have brought these things to you. This is your evil. How bitter! How it has touched your-heart!” *What Will Stay God’s Hand of Judgment 5:1 “Roam to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and look now, and take note. And seek in her open squares, if you can find a man, if there is one who does justice, who seeks truth, then I will pardon her. *The Reason for the Record Natural Disasters of the 90's 5:3 O Yehovah, are not Your eyes for the truth? You have smitten them, but they did not weaken; You have consumed them, But they refused to take correction. They have made their faces harder than rock; they have refused to repent.” 5:7 Why should I pardon you? Your sons have forsaken Me And sworn by those who are not elohims430. When I had fed them to the full, they committed adultery and trooped to the harlot’s house. 5:8 They were well-fed lusty horses, each one neighing after his neighbor’s wife. 5:9 Shall I not punish these people,” declares Yehovah3068, “And on a nation such as this shall I not avenge Myself? 8:8 “How can you say, ‘We are wise, and the Torah of Yehovah is with us’? But behold, the lying pen of the scribes has made it into a lie. 8:9 “The wise men are put to shame, they are dismayed and caught; behold, they have rejected the Word-of-Yehovah, and what kind of wisdom do they have? 8:10 “Therefore I will give their wives to others, their fields to new owners; because from the least even to the greatest everyone is greedy for gain; from the prophet even to the priest everyone practices deceit. *How God Punishes a Nation Who Forsakes Him 5:17 “And they will devour your harvest and your food; they will devour your sons and your daughters; they will devour your flocks and your herds; they will devour your vines and your fig trees; they will demolish with the sword your fortified cities in which you trust. 5:18 “Yet even in those days,” declares Yehovah, “I will not make you a complete destruction. 5:19 “And it shall come about when they say, ‘Why has Yehovah-our-Elohim done all these things to us?’ then you shall say to them, ‘As you have forsaken Me and served foreign elohims in your land, so you shall serve strangers in a land that is not yours.’ *The Deeds of the Wicked That Bring God’s Judgment 5:26 ‘For wicked men are found among My people, they watch like fowlers lying in wait; they set a trap, they catch men. 5:27 ‘Like a cage full of birds, so their houses are full of deceit; therefore they have become great and rich. 5:28 ‘They are fat, they are sleek, they also excel in deeds of wickedness; they do not plead the cause, the cause of the orphan, that they may prosper; and they do not defend the rights of the poor. 5:29 ‘Shall I not punish these people?’ declares Yehovah, ‘On a nation such as this shall I not avenge Myself?’ 5:30 “An appalling and horrible thing has happened in the land: 5:31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule on their own authority; and My people love it so! But what will you do at the end of it? 6:6 For thus says Yehovah-of-hosts, “Cut down her trees, and cast up a siege against Jerusalem. This is the city to be punished, in whose midst there is only oppression. 6:10 To whom shall I speak and give warning, that they may hear? Behold, their ears are closed, and they cannot listen. Behold, the Word-of-Yehovah has become a reproach to them; they have no delight in it. 6:13 “For from the least of them even to the greatest of them, everyone is greedy for gain, and from the prophet even to the priest everyone deals falsely. 6:14 “And they have healed the brokenness of My people superficially, saying, ‘Peace, peace,’ but there is no peace. 6:15 “Were they ashamed because of the abomination they have done? They were not even ashamed at all; they did not even know how to blush. Therefore they shall fall among those who fall; at the time that I punish them, they shall be cast down,” says Yehovah. 6:16 Thus says Yehovah3068, “Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; and you shall find rest for your-souls5315a. but they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’ 6:17 “And I set watchmen over you, saying, ‘Listen to the sound of the trumpet!’ But they said, ‘We will not listen.’ 6:18 “Therefore hear, O nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them. 6:19 “Hear, O earth: behold, I am bringing disaster on this people, the fruit of their plans, because they have not listened to My words, and as for My law, they have rejected it also. 19:3 and say, ‘Hear the word of Yehovah, O kings of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: thus says Yehovah-of-hosts-the-Elohim-of-Israel, “Behold I am about to bring a calamity upon this place, at which the ears of everyone that hears of it will tingle. 19:4 “Because they have forsaken Me and have made this an alien place and have burned sacrifices in it to other els that neither they nor their forefathers nor the kings of Judah had ever known, and because they have filled this place with the blood of the innocent 19:5 and have built the high places of Baal to burn their sons in the fire as burnt offerings to Baal, a thing which I never commanded or spoke of, nor did it ever enter My mind *What America Needs to Do to Come Back to God 7:4 “Do not trust in deceptive words, saying, ‘This is the temple of Yehovah, the temple of Yehovah, the temple of Yehovah.’ 7:5 “For if you truly amend your ways and your deeds, if you truly practice justice between a man and his neighbor, 7:6 if you do not oppress the alien, the orphan, or the widow, and do not shed innocent blood1818 in this place, nor walk after other elohims430 to your own ruin, 7:7 then I will let you dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers forever and ever. *Through Lies and Deceit America Refuses to Return to God 9:3 (9:4) “And they bend their-tongue like their bow; lies and not truth prevail in the land; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they do not know Me,” declares Yehovah. 9:4 (9:5) “Let everyone be on guard against his neighbor, and do not trust any brother; because every brother deals craftily, and every neighbor goes about as a slanderer. 9:5 (9:6) “And everyone deceives his neighbor, and does not speak the truth, they have taught their tongue to speak lies; they weary themselves committing iniquity. 9:6 (9:7) “Your dwelling is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know Me,” declares Yehovah. 9:8 (9:9) “Their tongue is a deadly arrow; it speaks deceit; with his mouth one speaks peace to his neighbor, but inwardly he sets an ambush for him. 9:9 (9:10) “Shall I not punish them for these things?” declares Yehovah. “On a nation such as this shall I not avenge Myself?
