Messiah

__________

*He will Be God in the Flesh

Genesis 4:2 "And the man knew Eve his wife, And she conceived and bore Cain, and said, ‘I have gotten a man: Yehovah.’"

While Eve understood that the Messiah would be God in the flesh, she was mistaken about Cain who rather than being the Messiah was the first murderer of man, of his brother Abel.

Isaiah 7:14 "Therefore Yehovah Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel."

Isaiah 9:6 " For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty-El, Father-of-Eternity, Prince-of-Peace." (r/BGI lae, Isaiah 10:20-21, Jer 32:18)

Micah 5:2 "But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His goings forth are from long ago, from the days of eternity."

Matthew 1:18-25 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was in this way: Mary, the mother of Him, being betrothed to Joseph before they came together was found to be pregnant by the Holy Spirit. But, her husband Joseph, being just, and not willing to expose her by way of example, purposed to put her away secretly. And as he was thinking on these things, behold, an angel of the Lord was seen by him in a dream, saying, ‘Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is by the Holy Spirit. And she will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for it is He who will save His people from their sins. Now all this took place that what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet might be fulfilled, saying, 'Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel, which translated means, "God with us.’"’ (Isaiah 7:14) And Joseph arose from his sleep, and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took her as his wife, and kept her a virgin until she gave birth to a Son; and he called His name Jesus."

*A Descendant of Abraham

Genesis 26:4 "By your seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed’"

Galatians 3:16 "Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He does not say, ‘And to seeds,’ as referring to many, but rather to one, ‘And to your seed,’ that is, Christ."

*A Descendent of Judah

Genesis 49:10 "The scepter shall not depart from Judah. . . until Shiloh comes"

Psalm 78:67-68 "He also rejected the tent of Joseph, and did not choose the tribe of Ephraim, But chose the tribe of Judah, mount Zion which He loved."

Hebrews 7:14 "For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Judah."

Revelation 5:5 "The Lion of the tribe of Judah."

*A Descendant of David

Isaiah 11:1-2 "Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse, and a branch from his roots will bear fruit. And the Spirit of Yehovah will rest on Him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and strength, the spirit of knowledge and the fear of Yehovah."

Micah 5:2, 4 "But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His goings forth are from long ago, From the days of eternity. . . . And He will arise and shepherd His flock in the strength of Yehovah, In the majesty of the name of Yehovah His Elohim. And they will remain, because at that time He will be great to the ends of the earth."

*He Will Die for Our Sins

Isaiah53:4 Surely our griefs He Himself bore, and our sorrows He carried; yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, smitten of Elohim, and afflicted.

Isaiah53:5 But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed.

Isaiah53:6 All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; but Yehovah has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him.

Isaiah53:10 But Yehovah was pleased to crush Him, putting Him to grief; if He would render Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His offspring, He will prolong His days, and the good pleasure of Yehovah will prosper in His hand.

Isaiah53:11 As a result of the anguish of His-soul, He will see it and be satisfied; by His knowledge My righteous Servant, will justify the many, as He will bear their iniquities.

Hebrew 1:3 "And He is the reflected-brightness of His glory and the exact-image of His essence, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high."

Hebrew 2:9-10 "But we do see Him who has been made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone. For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to perfect the author of their salvation through sufferings.

Hebrew 10:5-10 "Therefore, when He comes into the world, He says, "Sacrifice and offering You have not desired, but a body You have prepared for Me; in whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You have taken no pleasure. Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come (In the roll of the book it is written of Me) to do Your will, O God.’. . . . By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus-Christ once for all."

Romans 6:10-13 For the death that He died, He died to sin, once for all."

2 Corinthians 5:21 "He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him."

1 Peter 2:24 "And He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed."

"There Is the Messiah" — Do Not Believe Them

Matthew 24:23-27 "Then if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ,’ or ‘There He is,’ do not believe him. For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect. Behold, I have told you in advance. If therefore they say to you, ‘Behold, He is in the wilderness,’ do not go forth, or, ‘Behold, He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe them. For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes even to the west, so shall the coming of the Son of Man be." (Mark 13:21-22)
