__________ When a person is delivered, they will have a season of peace, but then demonic torment will come Matthew 12:43-45 “Now when the unclean spirit goes out of a man, it passes through waterless places, seeking rest, and does not find it. Then it said, ‘I will return to my house from which I came’; and when it comes, it finds it unoccupied, swept, and put in order. Then it goes, and takes along with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there; and the last state of that man becomes worse than the first. That is the way it will also be with this evil generation.” The Intent is to bind the person to re-enter them. Matthew 12:29 “Or how can anyone enter the strong man’s house and carry off his property, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house.” To stand against this kind of attack and have victory, do the following: Exodus 40:9 “Then you shall take the anointing oil and anoint the tabernacle and all that is in it, and shall consecrate it and all its furnishings; and it shall be holy.” 2. Anoint and claim your property for the Lord. 3. Cleanse your house and yard of any familiar objects related to demons or your temptation to sin. Deut 7:25-26 “The graven images of their gods you are to burn with fire; you shall not covet the silver or the gold that is on them, nor take it for yourselves, lest you be snared by it, for it is an abomination to Yehovah your Elohim. And you shall not bring an abomination into your house, and like it come under the ban; you shall utterly detest it and you shall utterly abhor it, for it is something banned.” 1 Cor 10:19-20 “What do I mean then? That a thing sacrificed to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything? No, but I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to God; and I do not want you to become sharers in demons.” (1 Corinthians 10:19-20) Joshua 7:11 “Israel has sinned, and they have also transgressed My covenant which I commanded them. And they have even taken some of the things under the ban and have both stolen and deceived. Moreover, they have also put them among their own things.” (Joshua 7:11) 4. You must gain control over your mind, your thought life. Joshua 1:8 “This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.” Philippians 4:8-9 “Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, let your mind, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things; and the God of peace shall be with you.” Romans 12:2 “And do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and happily-pleasing and perfect.” Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” 5. You must confess and remove all sin from your life. Proverbs 28:13 “He who conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will find compassion.” (Prov 28:13) Proverbs 22:8 “He who sows iniquity will reap vanity, and the rod of his fury will perish.” Isaiah 59:1-2 “Behold, Yehovah’s hand is not so short that it cannot save; neither is His-ear so dull that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He does not hear.” Ecclesiastes 10:8 “He who digs a pit will fall into it, and whoever breaks a hedge a serpent will bite him.” 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 6. Our Household must be in order. If you have people living in your home who are of age and are living in rebellion against Christ, you must remove them from your home or you will not be able to keep demons out. 1 Timothy 3:4-5 “He must be one who manages his own household well, keeping his children under control with all dignity (but if a man does not know how to manage his own household, how will he take care of the church of God?).” Titus 1:5-6 “For this reason I left you in Crete, that you might set in order what remains, and appoint elders in every city as I directed you, namely, if any man be above reproach, the husband of one wife, having children who believe, not accused of dissipation or rebellion.” 1 Peter 4:17 “For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us first, what shall be the outcome for those who do not obey the Gospel of God?” |
