And he gave him a tenth of all.” Leviticus 27:30 “Thus all the tithe of the land, of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is Yehovah; it is holy to Yehovah.” Num 18:21, 24 “And to the sons of Levi, behold, I have given all the tithe in Israel for an inheritance, in return for their service which they perform, the service of the tent of meeting. . . . For the tithe of the sons of Israel, which they offer as an offering to Yehovah, I have given to the Levites for an inheritance; therefore I have said concerning them, ‘They shall have no inheritance among the sons of Israel.’” (Deut 12:5-6, 14:22) 2 Chron 31:4-6 “Also he commanded the people who lived in Jerusalem to give the portion due to the priests and the Levites, that they might devote themselves to the Torah of Yehovah. And as soon as the order spread, the sons of Israel provided in abundance the first fruits of grain, new wine, oil, honey, and of all the produce of the field; and they brought in abundantly the tithe of all. And the sons of Israel and Judah who lived in the cities of Judah, also brought in the tithe of oxen and sheep, and the tithe of sacred gifts which were consecrated to Yehovah-their-Elohim, and placed them in heaps.” 2 Chron 31:11-12 “Then Hezekiah commanded them to prepare rooms in the house of Yehovah, and they prepared them. And they faithfully brought in the contributions and the tithes and the consecrated things; and Conaniah the Levite was the officer in charge of them and his brother Shimei was second.” Neh 13:10-12 “I also discovered that the portions of the Levites had not been given them, so that the Levites and the singers who performed the service had gone away, each to his own field. So I reprimanded the officials and said, ‘Why is the house of Elohim forsaken?’ Then I gathered them together and restored them to their posts. All Judah then brought the tithe of the grain, wine, and oil into the storehouses.” Prov 3:9-10 “Honor Yehovah from your wealth, and from the first of all your produce; So your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine.” Malachi 3:7-11 “‘From the days of your fathers you have turned aside from My statutes, and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you,’ says Yehovah of hosts. ‘But you say, ‘How shall we return?’ “Will a man rob Elohim? Yet you are robbing Me! But you say, ‘How have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing Me, the whole nation of you! Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,’ says Yehovah of hosts, ‘if I will not open for you the windows of heaven, and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows. Then I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it may not destroy the fruits of the ground; nor will your vine in the field cast its grapes,’ says Yehovah-of-hosts.” Haggai 1:2-11 “Thus says the Yehovah of hosts, ‘This people says, “The time has not come, even the time for the house of the Yehovah to be rebuilt.”’ Then the word of the Yehovah came by Haggai the prophet saying, ‘Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses while this house lies desolate?’ Now therefore, thus says the Yehovah of hosts, ‘Consider your ways! You have sown much, but harvest little; you eat, but there is not enough to be satisfied; you drink, but there is not enough to become drunk; you put on clothing, but no one is warm enough; and he who earns, earns wages to put into a purse with holes.’ Thus says the Yehovah of hosts, ‘Consider your ways! Go up to the mountains, bring wood and rebuild the temple, that I may be pleased with it and be glorified,’ says the Yehovah. ‘You look for much, but behold, it comes to little; when you bring it home, I blow it away. Why?’ declares the Yehovah of hosts, ‘Because of My house which lies desolate, while each of you runs to his own house. Therefore, because of you the sky has withheld its dew, and the earth has withheld its produce. And I called for a drought on the land, on the mountains, on the grain, on the new wine, on the oil, on what the ground produces, on men, on cattle, and on all the labor of your hands.’” 1 Corinthians 9:7-11 “Who at any time serves as a soldier at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard, and does not eat the fruit of it? Or who tends a flock and does not use the milk of the flock? I am not speaking these things according to human judgment, am I? Or does not the Law also say these things? For it is written in the Law of Moses, ‘You shall not muzzle the ox while he is threshing.’ God is not concerned about oxen, is He? Or is He speaking altogether for our sake? Yes, for our sake it was written, because the plowman ought to plow in hope, and the thresher to thresh in hope of sharing the crops. If we sowed spiritual things in you, is it too much if we should reap material things from you?” *Ministries & Churches Are to Tithe Their Income Num 18:25-32 “Then Yehovah spoke to Moses, saying, ‘Moreover, you shall speak to the Levites and say to them, “When you take from the sons of Israel the tithe which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then you shall present an offering from it to Yehovah, a tithe of the tithe. And your offering shall be reckoned to you as the grain from the threshing floor or the full produce from the wine vat. So you shall also present an offering to Yehovah from your tithes, which you receive from the sons of Israel; and from it you shall give Yehovah’s offering to Aaron the priest. Out of all your gifts you shall present every offering due to Yehovah, from all the best of them, the sacred part from them.” And you shall say to them, “When you have offered from it the best of it, then the rest shall be reckoned to the Levites as the product of the threshing floor, and as the product of the wine vat. And you may eat it anywhere, you and your households, for it is your compensation in return for your service in the tent of meeting. And you shall bear no sin by reason of it, when you have offered the best of it. But you shall not profane the sacred gifts of the sons of Israel, lest you die.”’” Luke 6:38 “Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, they will pour into your lap. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.” 2 Corinthians 9:6-11 “Now this I say, he who sows sparingly shall also reap sparingly; and he who sows bountifully shall also reap bountifully. Let each one do just as he has purposed in his heart; not grudgingly or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed; as it is written, ‘He scattered abroad, He gave to the poor, His righteousness abides forever.’ Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food, will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness; you will be enriched in everything for all liberality, which through us is producing thanksgiving to God.”
