Genesis 2:21-23 “And Yehovah-Elohim caused a deep sleep to fall on the man, and he slept. And He took one of his-ribs and closed up the flesh underneath. And Yehovah-Elohim constructed the rib which He had taken from Adam into a woman, and brought her in to Adam. And Adam said, ‘This now at last is bone from my-bones, and flesh from my flesh! Genesis 3:16 “Your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you.”

Ephesians 5:22-24 “Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as in the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body. But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives are to be to their husbands in everything.”

Colossians 3:18 “Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.

1 Peter 3:1-3 “In the same way, you wives, be submissive to your own husbands so that even if any of them are disobedient to the word, they may be won without a word by the behavior of their wives, as they observe your chaste and respectful behavior. And let not your adornment be merely external—braiding the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or putting on dresses; but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.”

Ephesians 5:25-31 “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her; that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she should be holy and blameless. So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself; for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church, because we are members of His flesh. For this cause a man shall leave His father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh.”

Ephesians 5:33 “Nevertheless let each individual among you also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see to it that she respect her husband.”

Colossians 3:19 Husbands, love your wives, and do not be embittered against them.

1 Peter 3:7 “You husbands likewise, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with a weaker vessel, since she is a woman; and grant her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.”

Jesus loved the Church by giving His life for the Church. Also Jesus said in Matthew 20:27-28,

“And whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave; just as the Son-of-Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."

Therefore the Husband is called to serve his family, not make his family members his personal property to serve him. Jesus loved us by giving His life for us and today He serves us by helping us to reach our full potential in Him, His will and plan for our lives. In the same way the husband is to provide for His family and and serve them by helping them to fulfill Jesus’ will in their lives individually. Being the head of the home means to manage the home and lead it spiritually. Leading the home spiritually means to encourage each member to seek Jesus’ will for them individually and then do what he can to help them fulfill Jesus’ will for them.

Proverbs 18:22 He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from Yehovah.

1 Corinthians 7:2-5 “But because of fornications, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband. Let the husband fulfill his duty to his wife, and likewise also the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does; and likewise also the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. Stop depriving one another, except by agreement for a time that you may devote yourselves to prayer, and come together again lest Satan tempt you because of your lack of self-control.”

Numbers 30:8-9 “But if on the day her husband hears of it, he forbids her, then he shall annul her vow which she is under and the rash statement of her lips by which she has bound herself; and Yehovah will forgive her. But the vow of a widow or of a divorced woman, everything by which she has bound herself, shall stand against her.”

Matthew 19:9 "Whoever divorces his wife, except for fornication, and marries another woman commits adultery.”
